Wisconsin averaged fewer than 500 new COVID-19 cases per day over the weekend the first time that has occurred since late July. Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says over the last 7 days the state has averaged 467 new cases a day. The DHS also reported 1,049 new cases since Friday including 218 since Sunday. The positivity rate is down to 3.3 percent. No deaths were reported since Sunday and there were 75 hospitalizations since Friday. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 366 people are hospitalized across the state with COVID-19 with 67 patients in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 36 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend. Twenty-one new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County since Friday and Dodge County had 19 new cases. Green Lake County and Waupaca County both had 4 new cases, and Waushara County had 2 new cases of the coronavirus.
