The 7-day rolling average for new cases of COVID-19 continued to decline in Wisconsin Thursday edging closer to 300 with 315 daily cases. The positivity rate was up slightly to 2.8 percent as state health officials continue to keep an eye out for new variants and their possible impact on residents. Fifty-eight of the state’s 72 counties continue to see high levels of coronavirus activity and the 14 remaining counties are in the medium category. On Thursday the Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 213 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state down 20 from the previous day. Of those patients 40 are in intensive care units, which is down one from Wednesday.
Winnebago County reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday. Eight new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 5 new cases.
