U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says it is sad that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy felt it necessary to address Congress to ask support in defense of his country against Russia. The federal lawmaker from Oshkosh says the United States and the rest of Europe failed to give Ukraine the defensive weapons it needs to protect itself. He says we need to recognize the danger if the Russian invasion stands. He doesn’t believe a no fly zone is necessary if Ukraine is supplied with the weapons it needs. Johnson notes the Ukrainian people including Zelenskyy have shown the world their courage and desire to remain free.

Envision President Pleased With Attendance For Ag Showcase

The President and CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says they were happy with the turnout for the Agri-Business Council’s Agriculture Showcase on March 5th at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds. It was the first in-person showcase in three years because of the pandemic and Sadie Parafiniuk says over 1,000 people attended for the panel discussions, cooking demonstrations, kids’ activities and free samples of cheese, sausage and beer and wine tasting.  She says they had about 1,200 people for the last in-person showcase in 2019 and the weather kept some away for the first few hours, but generally they were pleased with the attendance.
