The 43-year-old Columbus man suspected of robbing a branch of the Horicon Bank in the Village of Neosho was arraigned in Dodge County court Wednesday. Alan Schade pled not guilty to charges stemming from the January 26th robbery. According to the criminal complaint Schade handed a teller at the bank a note demanding money and saying no one would get hurt if it was placed in the bag the teller was given. The teller placed the money in the bag including “bait money” with documented serial numbers. Schade was out on bond from a Waukesha County case and as part of the bond conditions was wearing a GPS ankle monitor. Data from the monitor placed him in the bank at the time of the robbery and at a bank in Ixonia that was robbed two days before that. He is being held in the Dodge County Jail on a$250,000 bond.

Earning College Credit In High School
The Superintendent of the Berlin Area School District says they have quite a few classes in the high school that offer college credit. Carl Cartwright says for those who plan on seeking a degree after high school it will save them some money on classes they will need to take for college, but students can also get credit if they plan on going to a technical college. He says one of the exciting opportunities they have through the Moraine Park Technical College Consortium is to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant program at a time when there is a real demand for CNAs. That program will be offered in the next school year. He says many of their tech programs offer industry certification which can really help when a student applies for a job.
