The state saw what may be a momentary spike in new COVID-19 cases Tuesday with 450 new cases, a day after reporting only 55 cases. That brought up the 7-day rolling average slightly to 353 new cases a day. The positivity rate continued to decline to 2.8 percent. Forty-five deaths were reported with 12 of those occurring in the past month. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 271 people are hospitalized across the state with COVID-19 and 52 of them are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 11 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 2 deaths. No new cases were reported in Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties. Dodge County recorded 9 new cases and 2 deaths, Waupaca County had 2 new cases, and Waushara County had 1 new case of the coronavirus and 2 deaths.
