State health officials Monday reported only 55 new COVID-19 cases since Sunday and a net increase of 643 new cases since last Friday. The 7-day average for new cases fell again to 341 cases a day and the positivity rate to 2.9 percent. The state’s Department of Health Services reported 48 more deaths since last Friday, but no new deaths between Sunday and Monday. Forty-eight more people were hospitalized with the virus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 248 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 53 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 25 new COVID-19 cases since last Friday. Eleven new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 7 new cases. No new cases were reported in Green Lake County, Waupaca County had 5 new cases and Waushara County had 2 new cases of the coronavirus.
