14 March 2022 News

As Wisconsin entered the weekend the 7-day average for new COVID-19 cases dipped below 400 to 392 new cases a day. Meanwhile the positivity rate for new cases is now at 3 percent. The Department of Health Services reported 47 deaths on Friday, but about two-thirds of those occurred over the past 30 days. Forty-five people were hospitalized with the coronavirus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association Friday reported 313 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 55 of them in intensive care units.

Winnebago County on Friday reported 23 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths. Six new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County but 11 more deaths. County health officials say the spike in reported deaths was due to a delay in reporting with only one of those deaths this month and the other 10 dating all the way back to January.  Dodge County reported 5 new cases and 2 deaths; Green Lake County had 2 new cases, Waupaca County had 5 new cases and Waushara County had no new cases of the coronavirus.
