The 7-day rolling average for new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin fell to 864 Thursday as tests confirmed 775 new cases. That is the lowest daily average since last August. The positivity rate also continues to fall now at 5.7 percent the lowest rate since last July. The state’s Department of Health Services also reported 63 more deaths with 23 of them occurring in the last 30 days. The DHS says 64 people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 596 COVID-19 patients in the state’s 138 hospitals with 126 of them in intensive care units. It’s the first time there have been fewer than 600 people in hospitals with the coronavirus since last August.
Winnebago County reported 19 new COVID-19 cases yesterday with 1 death. Sixteen (16) new COVID cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 22 new cases. Green Lake County had 2 new cases, Waupaca County had 9 new cases, and Waushara County reported 5 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 death.
