Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 6,222 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, the lowest cumulative total of cases reported on a Monday since December 27th. Hospitalizations were also low with 114 since Friday or an average of 38 a day. Total hospitalizations continued to decline with the Wisconsin Hospital Association Monday reporting 1,251 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 232 of them in intensive care units. The state also reported 53 more deaths over the weekend.
Waupaca County saw a huge adjustment in its total number of cases over the weekend with 921 cases being removed from the total giving the county 10,095 cases since the pandemic began. Winnebago County over the weekend had 275 new cases and 4 deaths. One hundred (100) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County since last Friday and Dodge County had 110 new cases and 1 death. Green Lake County saw 26 new cases and 1 death and Waushara County had 23 new cases of the coronavirus.
