As Wisconsin entered the weekend it continued to see declines in the number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. Only 33 people were hospitalized Friday the lowest that number has been since the middle of last summer. The state’s Department of Health Services also reported 3,484 new cases as the 7-day rolling average declined to 4,147 cases a day. Forty-one (41) deaths were reported, but the DHS says 24 of those occurred over the past 30 days.

Winnebago County reported 145 new COVID-19 cases Friday and 6 deaths which moved it past 300 (302) total deaths during the pandemic. Sixty-seven (67) new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and 9 deaths which moved it past 200 total deaths (202).  Dodge County had 95 new cases and Green Lake County had 3 new cases. Waupaca County moved past 11,000 (11,016) total cases with 36 new cases and Waushara County had 14 new cases of the coronavirus.
