The 7-day rolling average for new COVID-19 cases fell below 5,000 Thursday as 4,781 new cases were reported. The average is now at 4,679 daily cases nearly 500 fewer cases than the average the day before. The state’s Department of Health Services did report 39 more deaths and 78 hospitalizations yesterday. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 1,387 people are hospitalized across the state with the coronavirus and 278 of those patients are in intensive care units.

Winnebago County reported 94 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Sixty-three (63) new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 96 new cases and 1 death. Green Lake County had 24 new cases and 1 death as it moved past 4,000 (4,009) total cases during the pandemic. Waupaca County had 23 new cases as it neared 11,000 (10,980) total cases and Waushara County had 18 new cases of the coronavirus.
