Wisconsin’s COVID-19 key metrics continue to fall as the state is seeing pre-surge levels in the past week. Yesterday the Department of Health Services reported 1,217 new cases bringing the 7-day rolling average to 1,828 new cases a day. Thirty-four deaths were reported but 15 of those happened more than a month ago as the 7-day average over the past week fell to 13 per day the lowest level in three months. Tuesday the Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 842 COVID-19 patients with 165 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 55 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. Twenty-three (23) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 19 new cases as it crossed over the 24,000 (24,007) mark for total cases during the pandemic. Green Lake County had 5 new cases, Waupaca County had 20 new cases and 1 death, and Waushara County had 7 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 death.
