2/12/22 FDL Man Charged With Child Porn Possession

Bond has been set at $20,000 cash for a 43-year-old Fond du Lac man charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. Police executed a search warrant at the home of Rudy Oropeza on 7th Street in Fond du Lac on Thursday, February 3rd. They had received a CyberTip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children which alleged possession and/or distribution of videos of sexually explicit conduct of prepubescent children. Pending forensic analysis of the digital evidence seized during the investigation there may be additional referrals for charges. Oropeza has a criminal history in Wisconsin and Texas. He will be back in Fond du Lac County court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.
