Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services Thursday reported 2,508 new COVID-19 cases the lowest number since last Thanksgiving. The 7-day rolling average also continued to decline to 2,537 new cases a day over the past week. Fifty (50) more deaths were reported with 16 of those over the past month. The total number of lives lost to the coronavirus in the state since the pandemic began is 11,533. The DHS says 110 people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 1,120 COVID-19 patients in the 138 hospitals across the state with 228 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 92 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Forty-six (46) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 51 new cases. Green Lake County had 18 new cases, Waupaca County had 34 new cases and 1 death, and Waushara County reported 23 new cases of the coronavirus.
