2/10/22 COVID 19 Report Wednesday

10 February 2022 News

There was a further sign that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin are shrinking when the state’s Department of Health Services announced Wednesday that the four-week streak of all 72 counties having “critically high” levels of coronavirus activity has ended. The state isn’t out of the woods yet though with 56 counties still experiencing “critically high” levels of the virus. Among the counties in that category are Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago counties. Yesterday the DHS reported 2,953 new cases, 33 deaths, and 104 new hospitalizations.

Winnebago County reported 80 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. Fifty-eight (58) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 45 new cases. Green Lake and Waushara County both had 8 new cases, and Waupaca County had 25 new cases of the coronavirus.
