Six Injured In Winnebago County Crashes

Six people were hurt in multiple crashes on Interstate 41 at Winnebago County Highway II or Winchester Road last night. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Craig Quick says 8 passenger cars and one commercial motor vehicle were involved in the crashes that were reported just before 7:30 pm. Golden Cross Ambulance took the injured to local hospitals. Injuries ranged from minor to severe. Quick says the event that started the chain of crashes is still under investigation. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Fox Crossing and Grand Chute Police, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol. In addition to Gold Cross Ambulance, the Grand Chute and Fox Crossing Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
