COVID 19 Report Thursday

For the first time ever on Thursday Wisconsin topped 13,000 new COVID-19 cases in a day with 13,004. The new peak drove the 7-day rolling average up to 9,915 for new cases. The state’s Department of Health Services also reported 19 more deaths. There were also 162 new hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 2,219 hospitalizations for COVID-19 across the state with 479 of those patients in intensive care units.

On Thursday Winnebago County reported 496 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths. Fond du Lac County moved past 24,000 total cases with 542 new cases putting its total cases during the pandemic at 24,521 cases. Dodge County also moved past a milestone with 232 new cases giving it a total of 20,070 cases. Green Lake County had 37 new cases, Waupaca County had 172 new cases and Waushara County recorded 42 new cases of the coronavirus.
