Wisconsin closed out 2021 reporting nearly 7,000 new COVID-19 cases last Friday. That raised the 7-day rolling average for new cases to 4,626 daily cases. Nineteen more deaths were also reported raising the death toll since the pandemic began to 10,063 lives lost. The Wisconsin Hospital Association also reported 1,710 COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals across the state with 396 of them in intensive care units.

Winnebago County reported 290 new COVID-19 cases last Friday. Fond du Lac County recorded 233 new cases surpassing 21,000 total cases with 21,082. Dodge County closed out the old year with 93 new cases, Green Lake County reported no new cases, Waupaca County had 24 new cases, and Waushara County ended 2021 with 13 new coronavirus cases.
