Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says COVID-19 activity remains high in all 72 counties. However, there was some good news Wednesday with about 50 of those counties seeing the number of cases shrink. Among those seeing shrinking cases are Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waupaca and Winnebago counties. Yesterday the DHS reported 7,662 new cases as the 7-day rolling average for new cases declined by more than 750 cases to 9,012 daily cases. The state also reported 42 more deaths and 145 hospitalizations.
Winnebago County Wednesday reported 345 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death. Two-hundred and thirty-two (232) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 111 new cases. Green Lake County had 31 new cases and 1 death, Waupaca County had 48 new cases and 2 deaths, and Waushara County reported 22 new cases of the coronavirus.
