1/23/22 Polar Bear Bingo Back
23 January 2022 News
GREEN LAKE, WI — People from throughout the Green Lake County area
and beyond will be coming out of hibernation for Polar Bear Bingo which is sure to make winter
a little more “bear”-able. The bingo game is scheduled for Saturday, January 29 at 492 Hill
Street. Doors and concessions open at 5 p.m., card sales begin at 5:30 p.m. and games start at
6:30 p.m.
The night features 13 games, plus speedy bingo and a progressive black out final game with a
jackpot of $1,257 plus half the night’s progressive sales. The jackpot is estimated to exceed
$1,500! The night will also feature a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and plenty of family fun.
This month’s game will be the first in which game play takes place in both Town Square’s
ballroom and Studio A. Calls will be made in the ballroom and live-streamed to Studio A.
“Incorporating Studio A adds capacity for nearly 150 more players, so everyone can safely
spread out and have plenty of room to enjoy the game,” said Phil Burkart, Town Square board
member and bingo caller.
Concessions will be available for purchase in the ballroom’s new Jury Room Bar, including $2
Sheboygan hot dogs, chips, beer and wine. Carry-ins are prohibited.
Bingo takes place at Town Square on the last Saturday of every month. Proceeds from the
bingo games support Town Square, an award-winning community center located in the historic
county courthouse buildings in the heart of downtown Green Lake. The mission of Town Square
Community Center is to enrich the lives of the Green Lake community members, family, and
friends by providing cultural, social, recreational, educational, and economic opportunities for
people of all ages. Town Square is operated by Green Lake Renewal, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization.
