1/20/22 COVID 19 Report Wednesday

Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says for a second week in a row all 72 counties in the state have “critically high” levels of COVID-19. The state is still seeing high numbers of new positive tests for the virus with the 7-day rolling average at 18,473 new cases a day. The number of new cases confirmed yesterday was 12,909. Sixty-six more deaths were also reported pushing the death toll during the pandemic to 10,648 lives lost. Hospitalizations were down slightly with the Wisconsin Hospital Association reporting 2,163 COVID patients in hospitals across the state and 459 of those people were in intensive care units.

Winnebago County Wednesday reported 731 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths. Fond du Lac County passed 26,000 cases (26,089) with 421 new cases and Dodge County recorded 187 new cases. Green Lake County had 42 new cases, Waupaca County had 109 new cases as it eclipsed 10,000 total cases (10,083) and Waushara County had 61 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 death.
