Aaron Rodgers threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns to continue his mastery of the NFL’s oldest rivalry as the Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears 45-30 on Sunday night.The Packers scored the first 24 points of the second half to erase a 27-21 halftime deficit.  Green Bay (10-3) took a four-game lead over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North and moved closer to its third straight division title. Chicago (4-9) has lost seven of eight.

Rodgers went 29 of 37, throwing two TD passes to Davante Adams and one each to Allen Lazard and Aaron Jones. Rodgers has 61 career touchdown passes against the Bears, the most all-time against Chicago and one more than his predecessor, Brett Favre.

The Packers are 23-5 against the Bears in games Rodgers had started. Rodgers yelled, “I still own you!” to the Soldier Field crowd after his fourth-quarter touchdown run in a 24-14 victory on Oct. 17. Chicago tried to deliver some payback Sunday and led after a wild second quarter that featured a combined 45 points. But the Bears couldn’t keep it up.

Chicago’s Justin Fields went 18 of 33 for 224 yards with two touchdown passes, but he also threw two interceptions and lost a fumble. Jakeem Grant scored twice, including a 97-yard punt return.

Jones scored a pair of touchdowns less than a minute apart to put the Packers ahead for good. He capped the opening drive of the second half with a 3-yard run that gave Green Bay a 28-27 lead. On the Bears’ next series, Preston Smith sacked Justin Fields and forced a fumble that Rashan Gary recovered at Chicago’s 23-yard line. It was a wild second quarter as the teams combined to score five touchdowns in a span of 5:18 as the lead changed hands twice. Green Bay scored on Rodgers’ 2-yard pass to Lazard on fourth-and-goal, Rasul Douglas’ 55-yard interception return and Rodgers’ 38-yard strike to Adams.

Chicago’s touchdowns came on a 56-yard completion from Fields to Damiere Byrd and Grant’s punt return. Cairo Santos’ 44-yard field goal closed the first half and put the Bears ahead 27-21. It was the fourth time since 1991 that teams have combined to score at least 45 points in a quarter.

DeVondre Campbell led the Packers in tackles with a combined 14.

On the injury front for the Packers right tackle Billy Turner injured his knee in the second quarter and didn’t return. … Wide Receiver Malik Taylor had an abdominal injury. … Wide Receiver  Equanimeous St. Brown left to get evaluated for a concussion and  Tight End Dominique Dafney injured an ankle.

The Packers play at Baltimore on Sunday.

There was one other game in the NFC North Sunday as the Lions lost at Denver to the Broncos, 38-10.

In Monday Night Football the Rams (8-4) play at Arizona against the Cardinals 10-2.  The Cardinals are currently the number one seed in the NFC but a loss would move the Packers into the number one spot.  The Rams are second in the NFC West.l

In the NBA Sunday the Bucks beat the New York Knicks on the road 112-97.  Khris Middleton led seven players in the double figures with 24 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo chipped in with 20 and Bobby Portis had 19. The Knicks Quentin Grimes led all scorers with 27 points.  The (18-10)Bucks finish out their four-game road trip tonight at Boston against the Celtics before returning home Wednesday to host the Indiana Pacers. Milwaukee is second in the Eastern Conference, 1 ½ games behind the Brooklyh Nets.

In G-League action, the Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, beat the Cleveland Charge 110-107. Wenyen Gabriel made one free throw to put the Herd up 109-107. The Charge came back on the other end only for Gabriel to have a huge block to stop the Charge from tying the game. Lindell Wigginton was sent to the free-throw line and secured the win for the Herd with one free throw. Six Wisconsin Herd players scored above 10 points. Lindell Wigginton led the Herd with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Rayjon Tucker and Jalen Lecque added 17 points each. Jemerrio Jones led the Herd with 12 rebounds.  The Cleveland Charge was led by Dylan Windler with a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. RJ Nembhard Jr. added 20 points.  The Wisconsin Herd will play again Monday night against the Iowa Wolves with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. CST.

E.J. Liddell scored 28 points and No. 21 Ohio State shot 50% to defeat No. 22 Wisconsin 73-55 on Saturday. The Buckeyes (8-2) outscored the Badgers by 13 points in the second half, running away with the game after leading by five points at halftime.

Zed Key finished with 11 points and Meechie Johnson Jr. scored eight, including a pair of 3-pointers in the second half. Kyle Young hauled in a career-high 14 rebounds. Johnny Davis led the Badgers with 24 points and Brad Davison added 13. The loss halted Wisconsin (8-2 and 1-1- in the conference) at six consecutive victories as it produced a season-low scoring output. Ohio State outmatched Wisconsin on the glass, grabbing a season-high 49 rebounds to the Badgers’ 28.

The Badgers led by as many as eight points in the first half, but a 12-point run midway through the half helped Ohio State regain the lead for good with 8:26 left. The Buckeyes shot 58% in the first half.

The win improved Ohio State’s home record to a 7-0 and marked the first time the Buckeyes defeated Wisconsin in Columbus since the 2016-17 season. The Buckeyes extended their winning streak to four games.

Wisconsin entered the game with the top-ranked defense in the Big Ten Conference, limiting opponents to 59.1 points per game. The Badgers allowed more than 70 points for just the second time this season, as the Buckeyes averaged 1.05 points per possession. The Badgers shot 34% from the field, allowing Ohio State opportunities to snatch rebounds on missed shots. Wisconsin hosts Nicholls State on Wednesday.

Ripon College 78, Knox College 67-Ripon improves to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team center Chris Vogt set up a GoFundMe dedicated to tornado victims in his hometown of Mayfield, Kentucky. That’s where a monstrous twister ripped through Friday into early Saturday morning. Kentucky’s Governor Andy Beshear says at least 70 people were killed across the state. Beshear fears the number of deaths could eventually exceed 100 in total.

Vogt tweeted that he was speechless when he saw damage pictures and videos. The tweet went on to say he wants to help those that were affected in any way possible.
