Wisconsin hit another milestone in the pandemic Thursday when it surpassed 800,000 total cases. The Department of Health Services reported 2,801 new cases, which pushed the total number of cases during the 21 months of the health crisis to 802,117 cases. The seven-day rolling average for new cases increased to 1,996 new cases. Twenty-six new deaths were also reported increasing the death toll to 8,580 lives lost. The DHS also reported 108 hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 927 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 264 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Thursday reported 117 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths. Seventy-one new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 28 new cases and 1 death. Green Lake County had 16 new cases, Waupaca County 28 new cases, and Waushara County reported 5 new cases of the coronavirus.
