The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says there were 4,251 new COVID-19 cases in the state over the weekend including 1,130 from test results received Monday. That pushed the 7-day average to 1,874 cases per day, slightly higher than the 1,852 daily case average reported Friday. Twelve deaths were reported over the weekend putting the death toll at 8,495 since the pandemic began. The state also reports 166 people were hospitalized from the coronavirus over the weekend.
Winnebago County Monday reported 176 new COVID-19 cases. Fond du Lac County had 100 new cases over the weekend and Dodge County reports 59 new cases. Twelve new cases were reported in Green Lake County which is nearing 2,500 total cases with 2,494 cases. Waupaca and Waushara counties each had 13 new cases but Waushara County also reported a death due to the coronavirus.
