Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services in a weekly status report on COVID-19 activity says the number of counties with “critically high” levels of activity has dropped from 8 to 4. In addition 65 counties have “very high” levels and 3 more have “high” levels of coronavirus activity. Calumet, Dodge, Green Lake, Fond du Lac, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties remain in the “very high” level. The 3 counties with “high” levels are Dane, Rock and Kenosha counties. Wednesday the DHS reported 1,851 new COVID cases, 22 deaths, and 123 hospitalizations.

Winnebago County reported 51 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and 1 death. Sixty-six new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 45 new cases and 1 death. Green Lake County had 7 new cases, Waupaca County had 18 new cases, and Waushara County reported 13 new coronavirus cases.
