COVID 19 Report Wednesday

Last week the state’s Department of Health Services reported 17 counties with “critically high” levels of COVID-19 activity. This week that number hasn’t moved much with 16 counties still at that level among them Waushara County. Meanwhile the remaining 56 counties have “very high” levels of COVID-19 activity which includes, Calumet, Dodge, Green Lake, Fond du Lac, Waupaca and Winnebago counties. State health officials also say 25 more deaths over the past 30 days were reported Wednesday to bring the death toll since the pandemic began to 8,217 lives lost. Yesterday the state also reported 2,370 new cases and 154 more hospitalizations.

Thirty-five new COVID-19 cases and 1 death were recorded in Winnebago County Wednesday. Fond du Lac County reported 73 new cases as it surpassed 16,000 total cases putting that total at 16,037 total cases. Dodge County added 20 new cases, Green Lake County 8 new cases, Waupaca County 18 new cases and 2 deaths, and Waushara County reported 24 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 death.
