The state’s Department of Health Services Tuesday reported 2,820 new COVID-19 cases with the 7-day average for new cases now at 2,403. The DHS also reported 43 more deaths putting the death toll at 8,194 lives lost since the pandemic began. State health officials also say there were 166 new hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 1,170 people are currently hospitalized in hospitals across the state for the coronavirus with 310 of them in intensive care units.
Eighty-one new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Tuesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 60 new cases and Dodge had 32 new cases. Green Lake County reported 22 new cases and 1 death; Waupaca County had 47 new cases, and Waushara County saw 19 new cases.
