Wisconsin’s death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic will likely surpass 8,000 lives lost today. The state’s Department of Health Services reported 18 mores deaths Thursday putting the total at 7,997 deaths. The DHS also reported 2,340 new cases of the coronavirus and 103 more hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 1,107 COVID-19 patients in state hospitals with 321 of those people in Intensive Care Units.
Winnebago County reported 83 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Eighty-eight new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 42 new cases. Green Lake County reported 19 more cases, Waupaca County 41 new cases and Waushara County had 59 new coronavirus cases.
