NFDL Man Arrested For Two Traffic Chases

A 23-year-old North Fond du Lac man is facing charges for car chases in the Town of Oakfield and City of Fond du Lac Sunday night. A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for speeding on US Highway 151 near Thill Road, but it fled north into the City of Fond du Lac where the deputy terminated the pursuit. Another deputy spotted the vehicle in the City and a second traffic stop also ended with the pursuit cut off, but deputies were able to identify a possible suspect and responded to his residence where the vehicle from the pursuits was located. The suspect was not the registered owner of the vehicle. The man who had been driving it was taken into custody on fleeing and first degree recklessly endangering safety charges, and a probation and parole warrant. The two pursuits covered 9 miles and there were no injuries or property damage during them.
