Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says more than 3,400 new COVID-19 cases were reported Wednesday. The DHS says virus activity is critically high across the state as 3,426 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the latest batch of test results. That’s the most since January 7th when 3,514 cases were reported. Another 20 deaths were also reported pushing the death toll since the health crisis began to 7,791 lives lost. The state also reported 197 hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 1,054 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 321 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 134 new COVID-19 cases yesterday. Seventy new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and 68 new cases in Dodge County. Green Lake County had 21 new cases, Waupaca County 33 new cases and 7 new cases were reported in Waushara County.
