The state’s Department of Health Services says 3,085 more people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in the latest batch of test results received Tuesday. The state is now averaging 2,526 new cases over the past 7 days. The state’s COVID-19 death toll also increased with 32 more deaths reported bringing that toll to 7,962 lives lost during the pandemic. Hospitals also reported 177 new coronavirus patients. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 1,109 people across the state are hospitalized with COVID-19 and 323 of them are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 88 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 1 death. Fifty new COVID cases brought Fond du Lac County over 15,000 total cases to 15,025. Dodge County recorded 35 new cases, Green Lake had 34 new cases, Waupaca County had 77 new cases, and Waushara County reported 19 new coronavirus cases.
