Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says vaccinations for COVID-19 have picked up during 7 of the last 8 weeks and now 2 out of 3 adults in the state have received at least one shot in the arm. Seventy percent of women and 62.7 percent of men have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. Overall 66.7 percent of adults have gotten at least one dose and 63 percent have completed their series of vaccine. Since last Friday the DHS has gotten 3,423 reports of new COVID cases, but the 7-day rolling average has fallen to 1,482 new cases daily compared to 1,538 last Friday. Nineteen more lives were lost to the coronavirus over the weekend putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 7,759 lives lost to the disease.
Winnebago County reported 76 new cases Monday and 2 deaths. Seventy-six new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County since last Friday and Dodge County reported 54 new cases Monday. Green Lake County had 7 new cases and 1 death, Waupaca County had 27 new cases, and Waushara County had 15 new cases.
