15 August 2021 News
A 56-year-old Downers Grove, Illinois man is facing charges in Fond du Lac County for firing a gun at a semi-trucker during a road rage incident in the Town of Rosendale late Saturday night. The truck driver called the Sheriff’s Communications Center reporting the driver of a suburban style vehicle had shot at his semi-trailer while he was traveling west on State Highway 23 from County Highway M. Ripon Police Officers located the suspect vehicle and took the driver into custody during a high-risk traffic stop. Sheriff’s deputies found three bullet holes in the semi-trailer that damaged both the trailer and property inside it. Four shell casings were found in the area where the shots were fired that matched a shell casing and pistol found in the suspect’s vehicle. The Illinois man is being held in the County Jail on multiple charges including recklessly endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon.
