Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says 12 more people died from the COVID-19 virus yesterday bringing the death toll since the pandemic began to 7,483 lives lost. The DHS also reports the 7-day average for new cases has increased to 1,218. State health officials also reported 144 hospitalizations due to the virus, which is almost as many as the 146 reported for all of last weekend. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 683 people are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus including 222 patients in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 86 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday moving it past 19,000 total cases to 19,004 since the pandemic began. Eighteen new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 13 new cases. Green Lake County reported 7 new cases, Waupaca County 17 new cases, and Waushara County had 6 new cases.
