Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 2,043 new COVID-19 cases and 12 more deaths Thursday. The 7-day average for new coronavirus cases now stands at 1,481 while the death toll since the pandemic began has increased to 7,570 lives taken by the virus. The state also reported 128 new COVID patients in hospitals. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says the total number of patients in state hospitals with the virus is 816 and 249 of those are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County recorded 61 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Ninety-three new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 60 new cases. Green Lake County had 11 new cases, Waupaca County 24 new cases, and Waushara County recorded 10 new cases.
