Candie Baker RASD Friend Of Public Education Award Winner

The Ripon Area School District has chosen Candie Baker as its 2021 Friend of Public Schools Award winner. The Board selected Baker for her ongoing support for both students and staff through her work with youth, leadership with Catalyst Charter School: monetary donations to enhance instruction: and commitment as a Ripon business owner. She was born and raised in Ripon and graduated from Ripon High School in 1996. She has a bachelor’s of Science Degree from the U-W Madison and Master in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University. She taught physical education for 7 years in Minnesota before she and her husband Kevin and their three children moved back to Ripon where she took over the family business Webster’s Marketplace.
