An 11-year-old boy suffered serious injuries to his legs when he fell on the propeller of a boat while trying to climb a ladder on the rear of the boat in Lake Winnebago Sunday afternoon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies, Mt. Calvary Ambulance and Town of Calumet First Responders responded to the boat landing at Columbia Park shortly after noon. The child was trying to climb into the boat after tubing when he fell from the ladder onto the propeller of the vessel. A New Holstein man was operating the boat with four of his children when the 11-year-old, the operator’s nephew fell. One of the children and a person from a nearby vessel jumped into the water to help the boy. He was taken back to the landing and medical help was called for.
