Shooting In Waupaca County

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect involved in a shooting at a campground on the Little Wolf River. Sheriff Timothy Wilz says the victim was shot in the head, but the wound was not life-threatening. Wilz says the shooting occurred Sunday afternoon after a fight broke out among a group of people participating in a tubing trip on the river. The suspect ran from the scene and was picked up by a vehicle. The victim was flown to a local hospital. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the campground at 4:20 Sunday afternoon. Names of the shooter and victim were not released.
