Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says the number of counties reporting high COVID-19 activity has nearly doubled in the past week from 15 to 29. Fond du Lac, Dodge and Winnebago counties are among those counties. The DHS reported 345 new cases Wednesday out of 7,101 test results as the 7-day rolling average for new cases jumped from 193 to 221 new cases per day. Seven deaths were reported putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 7,390 lives lost. Forty people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 143 COVID patients in state hospitals and 37 of them are in intensive care units.

Six new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Wednesday.  Fond du Lac County recorded 7 new cases and Dodge County had 3 new cases. One new case was reported in both Green Lake and Waushara counties. Four new cases were recorded in Waupaca County.
