Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says the state is back to averaging one death a day from COVID-19 in the 7-day average after 8 deaths were reported Wednesday. That brought the death toll during the pandemic to 7,331 lives lost in the state. The state received 278 test results back with 154 residents testing positive for the coronavirus, which hikes the 7-day average for new cases to a still low 71 cases per day. Fifty-four people were hospitalized with 80 total hospitalizations across the state and 28 of those patients are in intensive care.

Winnebago County reported two new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Fond du Lac County had four new cases. Green Lake and Waupaca counties each reported one new case. Dodge and Waushara counties had no new cases though Dodge County has now hit 12,000 total cases since the health crisis began.
