
Ripon Man Convicted Of Reckless Homicide

A 27-year-old Ripon man Wednesday pled no contest and was convicted of a first degree reckless homicide charge related to the April 4th, 2020 overdose death of a 34-year-old Fond du Lac man. David Bresser also pled no contest and was convicted of trafficking fentanyl, which was related to an incident in Ripon last August 6th. Bresser’s bond was revoked and he will be sentenced on August 17th. He faces up to 35 years in prison and 20 years of extended supervision. The victim’s body was recovered from the Fond du Lac River near a bridge in the City of Fond du Lac. According to the criminal complaint the County Medical Examiner’s Office listed the cause of death as “methamphetamine toxicity” with the manner of death listed as “accident.”
