Oshkosh Man Charged For Motorcycle Chase In FDL County

24 June 2021 News

Bond has been set at $5,000 cash for a 27-year-old Oshkosh man who led a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy on a short pursuit after fleeing from a traffic stop in Winnebago County last Friday night. Joel Willmann made his initial court appearance Wednesday on fleeing an officer, OWI 4th, marijuana possession, and operating while revoked charges. The chase on I-41 was cut off after Willmann exited the interstate on his motorcycle near County Highway OO. A witness saw him park his bike at a residence in North Fond du Lac and he was taken into custody shortly after that. Willmann has a preliminary hearing on Friday, July 2nd. A charge of operating a motorcycle without a valid driver’s license was filed against him in Winnebago County court yesterday. (Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s photo)
