COVID 19 Report Wednesday

17 June 2021 News

State health officials say the 7-day average for new COVID-19 cases fell to double digits Wednesday. The average now stands at 90 compared to 104 on Tuesday. But one of the reasons for that is fewer people are being tested. Meanwhile 18 more deaths were reported, which brings the death toll since the pandemic began to 7,230 lives lost. Eleven people were hospitalized. The last time that few were hospitalized because of the coronavirus was in late June of last year.

Fond du Lac County reported two new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Dodge, Green Lake, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties had no new cases to report.
