COVID 19 Report Wednesday

In a couple more weeks 50 percent of Wisconsin residents will have received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. Currently that percentage stands at 48.4 percent with 43.4 percent or 2.5 million residents fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. Eleven more people have died from the virus putting the death toll since the health crisis began at 7,189 people. Meanwhile the 7-day average for new cases has fallen from 151 to 134 new cases a day.

Green Lake, Waushara and Winnebago counties reported no new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Six new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and 2 new cases were reported in both Dodge and Marquette counties. Waupaca County had 3 new cases of the virus.
