State health officials Wednesday reported the 7-day average for new COVID-19 cases is 162. A total of 243 new cases were identified yesterday. Four deaths were reported putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 7,110 lives lost. The 7-day average for deaths also is at 4 lives. Seventy-seven people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says the number of COVID-19 patients in state hospitals declined to 184 with 67 of those people in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 11 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death Wednesday. Seven new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County and 5 new cases in Dodge County. One new case was reported in both Green Lake and Waupaca counties and Waushara County recorded 3 new cases.
