Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says over the last 30 days the average number of deaths from COVID-19 per day has fallen to one per day. Four deaths were added to the death toll yesterday putting it at 7,212 lives lost since the pandemic began. Meanwhile the 7-day average for new cases is now at 104 per day. That is despite 125 new cases from the latest test results. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 133 COVID-19 patients in the state’s hospitals with 39 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 5 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. No new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac, Dodge, and Green Lake counties. Waupaca County had 4 new cases and Waushara County had 2 new cases.
