The 7-day average for new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin continues to drop along with the number of counties where there has been a high level of disease activity. According to the Department of Health Services the state’s 7-day average for new cases has dropped to 85 while the number of counties that have seen a high level of the disease has fallen to 10 from 27 counties last week. In this area only Marquette and Waushara counties are still seeing a high level of activity. The state saw 113 new cases Thursday and five deaths, which puts the death toll at 7,235 lives lost since the health crisis began.
In Winnebago County 46.8 percent of the residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 42.6 percent are full vaccinated. In Fond du Lac County those numbers are 42.2 percent and 38.6 percent respectively and in Dodge County they are 39.5 percent and 36.4 percent. In Green Lake County 42.9 percent of the residents have gotten at least one shot in the arm and 39.9 percent are fully immunized and in Marquette County those numbers are 41.6 and 38.8 percent. The percentage of Waupaca County residents that have received at least one dose of the vaccine is 41.4 percent with 38.1 percent having completed their series of shots and in Waushara County those numbers are 33.9 percent and 32 percent respectively.
