The state added 179 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, but the 7-day average for new cases of 149 is at its lowest level since April 19th of last year when the average was 144 new cases per day. There were also 19 more deaths to put the death toll since the pandemic began at 7,129 lives lost. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 194 COVID-19 patients in the state’s 136 hospitals with 69 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reports 45.3 percent of its residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 40.1 percent are fully immunized. In Fond du Lac County those numbers are 41.1 and 36.4 percent respectively and in Dodge County 38.5 and 34.3 percent. Green Lake County health officials say 41.7 percent of county residents have gotten at least one shot in the arm and 37.9 percent are fully immunized and in Marquette County those numbers are 40.7 and 37.4 percent. In Waupaca County 40.3 percent of residents have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine and 36.2 percent are fully immunized while in Waushara County those numbers are 33 percent and 30.9 percent respectively.
