State health officials say by the end of the week 50 percent of Wisconsin residents will have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Right now that percentage stands at 49.6 percent with 45.3 percent of the state’s population fully vaccinated against the virus. The state also reports 15 more deaths since last Friday bringing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,235 lives lost. The 7-day average for new cases has fallen to 74 with 23 new cases confirmed Monday.
Green Lake and Winnebago counties Monday reported no new COVID-19 cases. Since last Friday Fond du Lac County has recorded 3 new cases and Dodge County had none during that time span. Waupaca County yesterday recorded 8 new cases and Waushara County 2 new cases.
