A Fond du Lac County jury Wednesday found a 37-year-old Fond du Lac man guilty of felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon charges. The verdict followed a two-day jury trial. On Thursday Judge Peter Grimm sentenced Marques Foster to three years in prison and five years of extended supervision. Charges stemmed from a traffic stop in Fond du Lac on November 23rd, 2018 when Foster was driving a vehicle while his license was suspended. A K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search found a loaded 9 millimeter handgun in the center console.  District Attorney Eric Toney says Foster has a long criminal history that includes previous weapon, cocaine trafficking and possession, obstructing an officer, and numerous other offenses.
